OWSLA Nest HQ removes all uploads from Soundcloud after wiping YouTube channel

Skrillex’s OWSLA Nest HQ has emptied their Soundcloud page of all original music, months after doing the same to their YouTube channel.

It seems to be the end of an era for Nest HQ, the popular and long-defunct subsidiary of Skrillex’s legendary OWSLA label. Just months after removing all original releases from their YouTube channel, Nest HQ has now done the same to their Soundcloud page, leaving fans without any access to the catalog of Nest HQ tracks from any website. Their Soundcloud ‘Tracks’ page is now left with nothing but the short, biting phrase, “Nothing to hear here.”

Thus far, no statement has been made by Skrillex or any representative of OWSLA or Nest HQ regarding the removal. Longtime followers of the label are left speculating as to whether the wipes of YouTube and Soundcloud were intentional or simply the results of lapsed subscriptions. Many of those followers are also left crossing their fingers that their favorite tracks will eventually be re-uploaded.

Nest HQ has been inactive since 2019 when they shared with their readers via social media that they are “under construction” and will be “back soon.” During this extended absence, fans had at least been able to find solace in listening to the previous releases online until this latest development. Now, unless they had the forethought to back it up on a personal hard drive, fans are left without any music to help them reminisce.

It remains unclear whether Nest HQ will ever return from their hiatus. The more optimistic among us may hope that this latest activity of removing their online music catalog may indicate something on the horizon for the brand, similar to an artist wiping their Instagram page prior to a new album announcement. But, at least for now, the OWSLA faithful will have to continue to play the waiting game.
