Barclay Crenshaw releases collaboration with his son Jasper
It runs in the family: Music mogul Barclay Crenshaw has released a new and heartfelt collaboration with his son Jasper.
Barclay Crenshaw, the alias of Claude Von Stroke of Dirty Bird Records, has released a new track with his son Jasper. Talent runs deep in this family as Crenshaw releases new music under this alias. The track “Goodbye My Friends,” is his latest Barclay Crenshaw project release. This track features the vocals of his son Jasper, who is a highlight. This is the second time Crenshaw has collaborated with one of his children; he released “Tiramisu” with his daughter Ella earlier this year.
“Goodbye My Friends” is an emotional tribute to Jasper saying goodbye to his high school friends post-graduation. This new release is just the beginning of a musical path for Jasper. He is embarking on his next scholastic endeavor at USC’s Pop Vocal Performance program. Jasper’s joyful singing married with Crenshaw’s skilled production creates a harmonious tribute to enduring friendship. The trippy and magical sounds of the xylophone make this track beautiful. Jasper closely follows his father’s path in musical production, showing that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Barclay Crenshaw has been on a rampage this year, already performing at roughly 60 shows and more to come. The progression of his tour and the release of new songs emphasize his remarkable creative skills as an artist, performer, and producer. Crenshaw’s appearances at Lightning In A Bottle, Elements, Electric Forest, and Texas Eclipse, Barclay Crenshaw has shown that his creative side does not rest.
2024 has been a major year for Barclay Crenshaw and it is exciting to see Jasper join him on this journey. It cannot be long before we see Jasper headlining along with his father at events, shows, and festivals. Barclay Crenshaw and Jasper will release “Goodbye My Friends” on November 5th.
