ALLEYCVT shares the ups and downs behind her forthcoming ‘FEEL IT’ EP [INTERVIEW]

From her touching, meaningful music to her riotous sets and eye-popping visuals, no one embodies the current moment in bass music quite like ALLEYCVT.

As her FEEL IT tour pulled into Portland, Oregon, Exron Music had the opportunity to sit down for a chat with the one and only ALLEYCVT. Pausing her tireless tweaking of that night’s set to meet with us, she radiated the genuine charisma of a burgeoning star on the upswing, thrilled to share her gift with a world that’s equally excited to witness it. Donning an oversized Nickelback tee and a smattering of kandi bracelets, ALLEYCVT delved into a number of topics, starting with her headline tour.

She gushed about moments with her fans on the FEEL IT tour so far, receiving “sweet, heartfelt” little gifts and watching them belt out the words to “even the very new songs.” The newest of those ALLEYCVT songs is “STRATOSPHERE,” a touching tribute to her late grandma who was her “best friend” and “like a second mom” growing up. “I made the song for her, hoping that there’s something after this life where I can talk to her about the secrets of the universe.”

Another track that’s caught fire for ALLEYCVT recently is “ONE FOR YOU,” her collaboration with another young bass act that’s garnering tons of attention, Levity. “Those are my brothers for real,” she said of the Levity trio. She had talked about a collab with them “for such a long time,” but it wasn’t until their Miami Music Week b2b set put a deadline on the project that it finally came to fruition, with fantastic results.

ALLEYCVT is also the vocalist for all of her releases, utilizing the musical talent that she’s cultivated ever since she was a little kid. But it wasn’t until the COVID pandemic hit that she started to add electronic music production to her arsenal. “I was always kind of scared to try… electronic music sounds so much harder to make – and it is – but I gave it a shot and it ended up working out!”

We left her with a discussion of her forthcoming EP, “FEEL IT,” which she is still putting the finishing touches on while out on tour. “The concept behind the EP is essentially all of the emotions that I’ve felt within the past five or so years of my life. It’s been a lot of ups and downs… I always say how bad things are actually kind of good in the grand scheme of things because if there wasn’t any bad, you wouldn’t have good… It’s kind of like a yin and yang type of thing.”

Her debut EP will mark another milestone for ALLEYCVT’s young career as she continues to evolve her art and grow her following. Exron Music will be among the many following along closely as she continues to skyrocket into the bass music stratosphere.
