What is The Chainsmokers’ net worth?

The Chainsmokers and their VC firm have shockingly high valuations and net worths.

The Chainsmokers, a duo comprised of American DJs Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, have a surprisingly high net worth, at least for entertainers and DJs. The Chainsmokers are rumored to be worth roughly 80 million, making their arrogate net worth an astounding 160 million. This gargantuan fortune puts them in the top ten of richest DJs, a smidge higher than Dipole at 70 million and well below Calvin Harris at an alleged 300 million. Although Drew and Alex are merely 34 and 39 respectively, they have managed to amass a fortune from DJ performance fees and their venture capital firm Mantis VC.

According to Mantis’ webpage, “Mantis VC is a partnership between Alex Pall and Drew Taggart… and experienced Venture Capital professionals and entrepreneurs Milan Koch and Jeffrey Evans that invests opportunistically in early stage technology-enabled startups.” Mantis also references using “social capital” to bolster their portfolio of businesses and team of entrepreneurs.

Essentially, Drew and Alex give money and clout to new businesses in exchange for equity in the company. As the company grows with the help of its newly padded balance sheet and spotlight, Drew and Alex share in the profits. It’s a win-win scenario, at least in the cases of successful business ventures. VC portfolios, more often than not, feature a mixed bag of success stories and woeful flops.

Alex and Drew represent a burgeoning demographic of smart entertainers turned cunning investors. They cross-pollinate their repertoire of businesses with the fruits of success from DJing, seeding nascent brands with established celebrity. It’s a sharp business plan that has fueled the momentum of their growing wealth and puts their DJ profits to work. The ability to accrue an income is only half the battle to becoming rich. Figuring out where to put the funds, how to impede depreciation, circumnavigate inflation, and, most importantly, how to grow is the key to establishing generational wealth.

Heralding from sunny South Florida, I am a proud Florida Woman. In my free time, I surf the swamp, wrangle gators, open fan mail, and tend to my pets. In the wild, I'm most often spotted at immersive art spaces, step tappin' in a shadowed corner of the club, hater blockerz on, totally incognito as your resident EDM spice girl. Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.
