NYC’s Central Park Takeover by We Belong Here festival exceeds festival-goers’ expectations.

We Belong Here recently launched its first-ever Central Park takeover, leaving attendees speechless and transforming NYC’s iconic location into a whimsical sanctuary. House music lovers enjoyed headlining performances by Kaskade, Monolink, and FISHER over the 3-day festival weekend packed with immersive art and picturesque moments for all who participated.

Hosted at the iconic Wollman Rink, this event was hosted for all ages, bringing families together to enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience. With immaculate views of the city’s skyline, this setting was ideal for a fun-filled weekend of top-tier performances enjoyed by locals and travelers alike. We Belong Here curates a meaningful experience for festival-goers, with their mission stating, “Where we celebrate because tomorrow is not promised” and “Where we belong to something greater than ourselves”.

Friday’s lineup kicked off the festival weekend with a wide array of spectacular performances, starting with local, NYC-based artist Ria Mehta, and finishing with Friday’s headliner Monolink. Each performer took over the stage for about an hour, with headliner Monolink ending the night with a 2-hour set.

Saturday’s lineup was filled with performances from genres ranging from progressive house to melodic techno, featuring local NYC-based artists like Stello and a closing set by the OG DJ and producer, Kaskade. The artists chosen for this event truly showed up and showed out for their performances, curating a pristine and joyful ambiance from start to finish.

To close out the weekend, Sunday Funday kicked off with another NYC native, JØ. U.S.-based DJ Loofy and French native Dombresky also made their mark on the stage that day. Grammy-nominated FISHER had a remarkable set later that evening, as his goddaughter Minnie was with him on stage during his closing performance. The entire weekend was filled with wholesome moments to carry through the rest of the year, leaving participants satisfied and uplifted by the experiences shared.

Not only was the music incredible but the decor, vendors, and overall vibes were top-tier. Celsius was giving out free drinks and the platinum lounge was giving out complimentary snacks, shades, and muscle massager guns. Coochie Couch brought pop-up couches for ideal lounging, and the iconic Kandies World hosted a pop-up tent as well. We Belong Here phenomenally curated a memorable weekend in the city that never sleeps, bringing unity among festival-goers and creating memories to remember for a lifetime.
