The Beatport Group has announced the revival of its Diversity + Parity Fund for the third consecutive year. This $150,000 initiative has been designed to promote inclusivity and equity within the electronic dance community. Since its inception, the fund has aimed to support organizations that champion diversity, reinforcing Beatport’s dedication to uplifting underrepresented voices in electronic music.

The fund provides financial backing, marketing support, and editorial exposure to various impactful initiatives. Previous grants have been awarded to global organizations like #ForTheMusic and Last Night A DJ Saved My Life. These efforts have fostered change and created a more inclusive industry. Beatport has ensured that its mission to create a diverse dance music space continues to thrive.

This year, the fund has once again been opened for applications, starting on October 3, 2024. Interested organizations are encouraged to apply before the deadline on October 31, 2024. In addition to financial support, recipients will receive marketing and editorial backing to help scale their projects and increase their visibility in the music community.

Beatport has emphasized the importance of inclusivity in dance music through the words of the company’s Chief Community Officer, Sofia Ilyas. She expresses that fostering a more inclusive industry is essential for the continued evolution of electronic music. Throughout the last two years, the fund has been honored to support grassroots organizations that have made meaningful impacts.
