The All-American Rejects pull out of When We Were Young festival due to setlist discrepancy

The All-American Rejects allegedly have dropped out of WWWY festival due to a conflict in the performance setlist.

The All-American Rejects released a statement expressing that change in management was the cause of their dropping from the WWWY festival. Allegedly – a now-former employee of WWWY had demanded that certain criteria be met for artists on the lineup at this year’s festival. It was insisted that the performers must perform specific albums to play on stage.

Although many artists had pushed back on this so-called demand, the former employee still ‘confirmed’ the artists hoping they would eventually comply. With the alleged information at hand – it can be assumed that TARR never formally agreed to perform their self-titled album. This is where the issue has occurred.

In their official statement, TAAR expressed that they. “have spent months tirelessly preparing a once in a lifetime show that we were so excited to bring to you. However. There has been a management change within the WWWY operation, and they are no longer able to accommodate us in the previously agreed upon line-up, which has made it impossible to continue.”

The employee has been suspected of setting this standard for artists in past years. But, this seems to be the first time that the consequences of this demand have backfired. In turn, this created disorder. With TAAR pulling out of the lineup and the employee permanently out of the WWWY franchise, problems like this should not happen again.

WWWY will still include other artists like My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boys, Cobra Starship, and 3OH!3.The festival is meant to be a haven for the mid-2000s alternative, punk rock, and pop-punk music. The nostalgic event will be held at Las Vegas Festival Grounds taking place on October 19th and 20th.

Tickets are still available for the festival next weekend and on sale now.

My favorite thing in the whole world is music and after hearing "One" by Swedish House Mafia for the first time in 2014, I was hooked on EDM. Dance music has been a large part of who I am and will always be searching for new ways to incorporate it in my life. The pure bliss that I feel from live shows is a feeling I never want to stop chasing (iykyk). Some of my favorite artists are Flume, Rüfüs Du Sol, Mindchatter, Disclosure, Dom Dolla and Fred Again.. :)
