Apple features Skrillex and Hamdi single ‘Push’ in new commercial
In an iPhone 16 Pro commercial, Apple has used ‘Push’ by Skrillex and Hamdi to show off the new camera control feature.
No big company is known for delving into the depths of dance music and snatching up intriguing tracks for ads quite like Apple. In recent years, selections by Rezz and Deathpact, Fred again.., Odesza, LP Giobbi, Sofi Tukker, Keys N Krates, Elderbrook, and more have been featured by the tech giant. Now, two more producers have been added to that list as “Push” by Skrillex and Hamdi has appeared in a new Apple iPhone 16 Pro commercial.
“Push” is aptly used in the commercial to call attention to the new camera control button on the side of the new iPhone 16 Pro. The button can be used to quickly bring up the camera app, adjust a variety of camera settings, and finally to snap a pic. Apple’s commercial shows the button being used to change the zoom, tone, and filters all while the track repeatedly reminds the viewer, “when I push, I feel good.”
The duo’s red-hot single featuring TAICHU has already amassed over 11.5 million listens on Spotify – Apple’s music streaming nemesis – in the five months since it’s release, and will certainly tack on more at a scorching pace with this newfound notoriety. While living legend Skrillex may be accustomed to this level of exposure, Hamdi certainly appreciates the bump from one of the most influential global companies as he continues his rise towards world-status headliner. The UK bass artist posted the ad on both Instagram and X, adding scream emojis to reflect his excitement.
A number of fellow dance music artists jumped in the comments to give Hamdi props for making it big time on an Apple commercial, including INFEKT, Levity, Moore Kismet, LYNY, Ravenscoon, and Boogie T. As all these artists realize, bass music being spotlighted in huge commercials like this one isn’t just good for Skrillex and Hamdi, but for the whole scene. Listen to “Push” below!
