Amelie Lens announces NYC pop up ahead of headlining Brooklyn Mirage show

Belgian electronic music producer and DJ Amelie Lens surprises fans with NYC pop-up meet and greet along with ‘Falling For You‘ single release announcement. A rare occasion to be able to chat with the star herself before her all-night-long set at Brooklyn Mirage October 4th. CHOLE, the famed vegan cafe located in the village will be passing out sweets treats – the owner is known to be the first vegan chef to claim the top prize on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars.

For those who have attended Amelie Lens’s shows, the announcement of “Falling for You” has been a track ID that partygoers have been longing for. The new single release will be available to stream as soon as October 11th and will be released via Sony Music. Amelie Lens has been in the spotlight since her 2016 ‘Let It Go’ EP and continues to bring her followers on a journey as her sound evolves.

Lens was exposed to the electronic music industry as early as 15 years old. She mentions her early influences include Ellen Allien, Nine Inch Nails, Boyz Noise and more. This led to her increased interest in the electronic music scene which brought her to attend Belgium’s Dour Festival in 2005. This was a monumental moment for her where she describes this experience was “life changing”.

When opened to a new world, there is room for curiosity to spread to obsession. Lens took her experience and amplified it with rabbit-holing the history of electronic dance music which opened up a portal of new artists and label exposure. Now, the famed DJ and music producer plays all over the world and is a global sensation.

Amelie Lens originally went to pursue her career as a model before she realized her passion for music. She started learning how to mix and began playing at small venues and slowly became high in demand for her talents. She is now known for producing using her own vocals with atmospheric techno qualities.

Since jumpstarting her career, Lens has put out numerous works and has been nominated for several awards including DJ Mag’s top 100 DJ’s 4 years in a row. In 2016, she won Red Bull Elektropedia Awards for the first time and had two, #1 consecutive wins. Lens has brought nothing less than success since pursuing her musical endeavors.
