Club Space announces official reopening after four month hiatus
The news everyone has been waiting for is finally here – Club Space is officially reopening this weekend.
It has been a long and quiet summer in Miami without Club Space. Many are missing their 12+ hour marathons on the terrace and have anxiously awaited news of the reopening. If you recall, the legendary 24-hour nightclub closed after Memorial Day for some renovations, aiming to be better neighbors to the E11even condos being constructed next door.
Since the closure, Miami has lacked a dedicated house and techno club all summer, which is typically the busiest time of year for the iconic venue. With no official announcement on when it would reopen, fans have been waiting to hear news of opening parties. Last week, Club Space canceled events scheduled for the September 15-17, 2024 weekend given the venue still required some finishing touches before the announcement could be made, citing that “good news” is “on the horizon.” This cancellation fueled speculation about the exact timeline of the reopening.
The Club Space team has teased some of the renovation work as it has progressed. Fans have seen the iconic and highly photographer staircase being removed and replaced. They have also posted stories showcasing finishing touches being applied to the club, including the booth receiving some much-needed TLC, with the little eye placed back facing the crowd. Thankfully, the day we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived. Club Space is reopening this weekend.
Space is set to reopen on Thursday, September 19 with four nights of mayhem ahead. The opening night will feature Peggy Gou, John Talabot, Alinka, Ms. Mada, and Sister System. Friday will showcase Green Velvet, DJ Seinfeld, Shermanology, Thunderpony, and Nicole Gallamini. Saturday will host Francis Mercier, Bakke, Malone, and Nii Tei. Finally, Sunday’s lineup will include Fisher, Danyelino, and Monoky. Tickets for the opening parties are now available, and fans are eagerly anticipating their return to the Space dance floor.
