Billy McFarland announces Fyre Festival 2 official dates and location

Fyre Festival 2 will take place in spring 2025 on a private island off the coast of Mexico.

Billy McFarland claims to have already sold 100 tickets at $500 each, with prices ranging up to $1.1 million for a luxury experience. He’s targeting 3,000 attendees. Here’s the catch: no performers have been confirmed yet. “Fyre Festival II is happening April 25, 2025, so we’re seven and a half months out,” McFarland said. “We’ve secured a private island in the Caribbean, off Mexico’s coast, and we’ve got an amazing production company handling everything from start to finish.”

He added, “My role is like a plane navigating a storm, and I’m not sure if we’ll crash or land. The more we embrace the chaos, the more people will want a front-row seat for this unpredictable three-day cultural event.”

Additionally, the $1.1 million VIP packages include luxury yachts, scuba diving with McFarland, and island hopping. It’s not just about the music either—there will be live karate fights and, of course, the infamous cheese sandwiches.

You may recall the original Fyre Festival was a disaster that ended with McFarland serving time in prison. In 2018, the court sentenced him to six years for wire fraud related to the first Fyre Fest, but after serving four years, he gained early release in May 2022. Netflix even documented the infamous failure. McFarland now runs a marketing company and earns a monthly salary, some of which goes toward paying off millions in debt from his conviction. He says 10% of the profits from Fyre Festival 2 will go toward settling those debts.

Lastly, McFarland has brought in an external production company to manage Fyre Festival II, though he hasn’t disclosed the name of the company. He also confirmed to NBC that no artists have been booked yet for the event.

Fyre Fest II was first announced in August 2023, with few details shared at the time. However, 100 presale tickets priced at $499 quickly sold out after the announcement. Currently, tickets for Fyre Festival II are only available through an application process.
