Malaa reveals new DJ alias ‘Malaa’s Alter Ego’ and announces double album on the way

Malaa has announced his upcoming album, debuting his new alias, ‘Malaa’s Alter Ego.’

Malaa has revealed his newest collaboration project, featuring a new alias, ‘Malaa’s Alter Ego.’ The French DJ and producer has creatively announced his double album where he will be battling this new alias.

Fans can expect two different versions of Malaa from this new concept. The first is Malaa, which is the artist name he has produced under since coming up in the electronic dance music scene. The second is his newly announced alias, ‘Malaa’s Alter Ego.” It has been believed that Malaa’s new moniker is switching up his producing style with drum and bass instead of his usual bass house sound.

This was hinted by Malaa after he posted on Instagram announcing his new album. In the video, Malaa is abruptly interrupted by ‘Malaa’s Alter Ego’ after beginning to announce his second album. Towards the end, viewers can hear an unreleased drum and bass track playing in the background. It was shortly revealed that not only is Malaa dropping a new album, but he will also be embarking on ‘A Unique Tour.’

The forthcoming album is set for release in November, and seems as though the battle between the two has already begun. The concept of the tour is Malaa vs. Malaa’s Alter Ego. For his album, the first half of the LP will be produced under Malaa and the second half will be produced under Malaa’s Alter Ego.

Like the album, his tour will be split in two. The first half of the perforance will be played as Malaa and the second half will be played as Malaa’s Alter Ego. He has encouraged his fans to “choose your side” and to “pick a side.”

The concept for both the live tour and album is meant to pit the two against each other. Both producer aliases will go head-to-head (or even better mask-to-mask) on stage. Make sure to follow Malaa on his social media to keep updated with updates on the project.

My favorite thing in the whole world is music and after hearing "One" by Swedish House Mafia for the first time in 2014, I was hooked on EDM. Dance music has been a large part of who I am and will always be searching for new ways to incorporate it in my life. The pure bliss that I feel from live shows is a feeling I never want to stop chasing (iykyk). Some of my favorite artists are Flume, Rüfüs Du Sol, Mindchatter, Disclosure, Dom Dolla and Fred Again.. :)
