Subtronics surprises wife Level Up in Denver ahead of her headlining show

The bass wasn’t the only thing that dropped at this Level Up show in Denver – Subtronics had a cutesy surprise that hit just as hard.

Subtronics adorably surprises his wife Level Up before her headlining show at the iconic Ogden Theatre in Denver, Colorado on Friday, September 6. The night was all about her but behind the scenes, an unexpected guest was brewing a plan of his own.

Subtronics, known for his face-melting dubstep, is also a loving husband to Level Up, a bass queen in her own right. As she prepared for her big show, Subtronics had originally told her he wouldn’t be able to make it. His excuse? Getting ready for Lost Lands. But little did she know an epic surprise was about to unfold.

In a heartwarming turn of events, Subtronics made the trip to Denver without her knowing. He filmed himself making his way through her hotel and the video captured him standing outside Level Up’s hotel room door as excitement radiated from him as he knocked.

And then he waited. Knock one: no answer. Knock two: still no answer. By knock three, the suspense was real, but Level Up remained blissfully unaware of the joy on the other side of the door and even said “No thank you” each time Subtronics knocked.

Finally, she opened up, and the pure shock and joy on her face said it all. “Jesse!” she screamed as if the universe had granted her the best surprise imaginable. Her laughter and excitement filled the room as she embraced her husband.

Subtronics took to Instagram to share the sweet moment, captioning his post, “It’s surprise your wife at work day.” He gave the moment an extra dash of fun, encouraging fans to support his wife’s show as he supported her in person and said, “Everyone go sell out Sonya’s show!”
