Rüfüs Du Sol confirms their fifth studio album is on the way
Rüfüs Du Sol officially confirms that their new album will soon be released to fans worldwide.
Following numerous hints across social media and back-to-back track releases over the past few months, Rüfüs Du Sol has revealed that their fifth studio album is finally on the way sooner than fans think. Their last album project, ‘Surrender‘, was released in 2021, so the time has definitely come for the highly-acclaimed musical group to unveil a new musical masterpiece.
Rüfüs Du Sol is notorious for never taking a true hiatus, intermittently touring under their DJ project and releasing hit singles even in between album releases. But for die-hard fans, there’s nothing quite like a brand new Rüfüs Du Sol album and the world tour that comes along with it.
The trio recently turned to X (formerly Twitter) to unveil this official update surrounding their new album. They Tweeted, “Final touches on album five – yours soon. Within the same day the Tweet was posted, it had already received close to 269K views.
Not too many details regarding their fifth studio album have been disclosed to the public, likely meaning this might be one of their most striking and experimental projects to date. Subtle hints across their social media platforms have had fans hardcore guessing what’s next from the musical group, with some even thinking they will be hosting a new album tour stop at the Las Vegas Sphere sometime soon following a photo of them holding what looks like an outline of the esteemed venue.
Although no official release date for their new album is set in stone, it doesn’t seem like we’re too far off from it according to their ongoing tour schedule. Their only live show of 2024 is scheduled to take place at Portola Festival in San Francisco on September 28, so hopefully some new album IDs will be debuted during that performance.
Additionally, the group also just announced they’ll be performing at Lollapalooza Argentina in February and Estéreo Picnic Festival in Colombia in March, meaning that these are likely future album tour dates (or so we hope). Fans are also speculating that their most recent singles “Music Is Better” and “Lately” will be featured on their forthcoming new album.
