John Summit, Subtronics, and Tape B have joined forces and fused tech house, dubstep, and bass with a touch of rap vocals into an exciting release.

Just as we thought we didn’t see coming, John Summit, Subtronics, and Tape B surprised fans with the release of their highly anticipated collaboration, “Gas Pedal,” featuring Sage The Gemini. The track has generated a significant buzz since its premiere during Miami Music Week 2024 at Summit’s Experts Only event. During the set, Subtronics and Tape B joined the house superstar on stage, creating an electrifying atmosphere fans still remember.

Fans had speculated that a collab was along the horizon when EDM fans were introduced to ‘SUBJOHNICS‘ at EDC Las Vegas in 2023. Months later Subtronics joined Summit again playing unreleased teasers at his sold-out show at BMO Stadium. The following year, Tape B joined them on stage to play the fused track during Subtronics’ set at EDC.

“Gas Pedal,” features vocals from Sage The Gemini’s original hit, peaking at #29 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2013. The song gained popularity, leading to an official remix with Justin Bieber seven months later. Ten years after its release, Kyle Watson reworked it into a trending house track played by many artists.

The new version merges the distinct styles of each artist. It starts with John Summit’s tech house elements, increasing the BPM to Subtronics’ heavy sub drop with Tape B’s growly bass sounds. Fans have praised the innovative blend of a nostalgic rap tune and cutting-edge sound design.

John Summit continues to grow as a powerhouse phenomenon in electronic music, releasing his album ‘Comfort in Chaos’ and selling out shows from MSG to Kia Forum. Subtronics has pushed boundaries with his unique dubstep sounds, following his sophomore album release ‘TESSERACT’. Tape B made waves with his nostalgic yet innovative approach, merging old-school dubstep to contemporary bass.

Together, these three have created a track that resonates with fans, solidifying their reputation as top artists. Listen to “Gas Pedal” on your favorite streaming platform now here.
