Lane 8 mourns death of 18-year-old cat Frau with touching tribute

Lane 8 pays homage to his fur-baby, Frau, grieving recent loss via Instagram.

Lane 8‘s recent post is a tear-jerker. After losing his 18-year-old furry friend recently, Lane 8 reminisces about his career and how his cat Frau was always there. He writes “I wrote a lot of my songs at the piano with her next to me curled up on her favorite chair, and so I think she lives on not only in our memories but also in the music I’ve made over the last 12 years.”

Furthermore, he adds “..across two countries, two kids, all the countless ups and downs of life. she was there through it all, holding us together through thick and thin… I’m thankful that she went so peacefully in Maria’s arms and that her suffering is over, even if it feels like ours is just beginning.” Artists like Nora en Pure, Dom Dolla, and many more expressed their love and support in the comments.

Lane 8, a.k.a. Daniel Goldstein, is a Denver-based DJ and electronic music producer. With more than a decade in the Industry, Lane 8‘s career began when he signed to Above & Beyond’s Ajunadeep label in 2012. It wasn’t long before his first album ‘Rise’ then debuted in 2015.

Known for his melodic house vibes, the artist is also keen on curating a special environment for those attending his shows. He prohibits cameras and phones to encourage others to connect and enjoy the moment, making the phone-free space a place for a deeper, more connecting experience with the people and the music.

In 2018, Lane 8 released his second album ‘Little by Little’ on his label This Never Happened, which is also an event series that showcases himself and the label’s upcoming artists during his tours. Two years later, ‘Brightest Lights’ was released and the artist started touring all over the world.
