Oasis claims they will not be performing at Glastonbury or any festivals in 2025

Rock band Oasis has announced their 17-stop reunion tour, however, they have dispelled rumors that they will be playing Glastonbury 2025.

Liam and Noel Gallagher, brothers and face behind the iconic rock band, Oasis have announced their reunion tour, not without European festival rumors brewing. With smash hits such as “Wonderwall,” “Champagne Supernova,” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger” the reunion has been a long time brewing.

The brothers are notably, for lack of a better term, wild. Liam and Noel are no strangers to public fighting, putting Bravo Realhouse Wives to shame. Noel, the founder of the band, parted ways 15 years ago. However, sources close to them say that the two brothers have “not buried the hatchet.”

Oasis has fought during interviews, one of the most public arguments over who is more of a rockstar. They beat each other with tambourines, made fun of their fans, broke up, and made up more than a high school couple. However, fans are eager and hopeful that this will be the reunion of the decade.

There is an understandable hesitation that this reunion tour may not occur based on the band’s behavior in the past. 17 dates have been announced around the UK; growing the excitement and energy around the tour. Oasis however took to Instagram this week to quell any rumors that may stir regarding their reunion in 2025.

Oasis shared in an Instagram post, “Despite media speculation, Oasis will not be playing Glastonbury 2025 or any other festivals next year. The only way to see the band perform will be on their Oasis Live ’25 World Tour.” Fair statement considering the two brothers’ sibling rivalry.

Glastonbury is one of the premier festivals hosted in the UK. Glastonbury has welcomed living legends to the festival grounds since 1970. Most recently in 2024 some of the artists to perform were the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jungle, Disclosure, Peggy Gou, Azzecca, Jamie XX, Eric Prydz, Idris Elba, Barry Cant Swim, Amelie Lens, Sammy Virji, and Jamie Jones; the list could go on for ages. Fans will have to wait and see if this is the ultimate red herring, or if Oasis warning fans before a potential letdown.

Hey! I'm Shiv! Music is the greatest part of my life, I remember discovering dubstep when I was 15/16 and my entire life was altered - robot noises?? I needed MORE! Now, I live in NYC and have seen over 60 artists of all genres; my favorites being Odesza, Subtronics, Rezz, Griz, Zeds Dead, John Summit and Kaskade. I am an enjoyer of music and will try everything once, I do not discriminate - there is beauty in all genres (minus country). You can usually find me in a warehouse at 4AM because I am nocturnal and will quite literally never say no to a show.

What's your reaction?
