Felix Jaehn cancels all shows until further notice to focus on mental health

Felix Jaehn has taken it to Instagram to share an update on his mental health and touring schedule.

Felix Jaehn, the renowned German DJ and music producer, has announced the cancellation of all his upcoming shows, citing a need to prioritize his mental health. The announcement was made on Tuesday, August 27th, through a heartfelt Instagram post.

In his message to fans, Jaehn revealed that he has been struggling with his mental health for some time, saying, “You know I always like to be open about everything. However, for a while now I’ve been hiding that I’m hurting on the inside. I didn’t even realize the depth of the pain myself until I finally got professional help.” The DJ further explained that he is currently too vulnerable to continue performing and needs time to rest and heal.

The news has sparked an outpouring of support from fans, friends, and fellow artists. Artists such as Don Diablo and Lunax have left comments on Jaehn’s post, expressing their support and wishing him a speedy recovery. The announcement has highlighted the growing trend in the music industry, where artists are increasingly speaking out about their mental health struggles and seeking help.

Jaehn’s decision to step back from performing follows a busy summer during which he was touring, traveling, and releasing new music. Just one week ago, he released his “Slay 4 Me” remix of Baby Weight’s track featuring Jesse Fields. However, despite his professional success, Jaehn acknowledged that his body and mind have been sending him warnings that he can no longer ignore.

Jaehn assured fans of his gratitude, stating, “I am truly grateful for your unbelievable support & I wish I could be out there having the best time with you.” He ended his message with a promise to focus on his recovery, emphasizing the importance of listening to his body and mind.

Jaehn’s candidness about his mental health struggles serves as a reminder of the pressures faced by artists and the importance of taking time to heal when needed.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
