House and techno came together in a whole new way when John Summit and Patrick Topping slayed their b2b together in Ibiza.

John Summit and Patrick Topping united for a b2b set for the very first time that left Ibiza shook on Monday, August 19. The electrifying set blended what the two described as John Summit’s perfected USB playlist and Patrick Topping’s 80 percent new music and IDs. Making for an unforgettable and rare night.

Although the set was during Patrick Topping’s Hï Ibiza residency, he said he pushed out of his comfort zone to ensure he and John Summit could seamlessly play together. He usually has a strictly techno and tech-house sound, while John Summit sticks to mostly house music with a mix of other genres. However, the two said they ‘nailed’ their 3.5-hour set and both are recognized for having high-energy sets. 

John Summit commented on Patrick Topping’s post describing the night and said, “What a night bro!!” and “Also, I need all those IDs you played.” Patrick Topping replied, “Insane brother. Haha, I need your USB.” You can catch them playing together again at Creamfields located in the Cheshire countryside near Manchester, England for another b2b at the Trick stage on August 24th.

Both DJs are highly beloved by their fans and are similar in many ways but are also quite different. John Summit has been on a fast-track journey through dozens of career milestones, reaching nearly a million followers on Instagram, and throwing his own events under his record label. Patrick Topping, a UK DJ, has been consistently traveling the world playing major music festivals, has a highly respected residency, and just had a baby with his wife Hayley. 

But Patrick Topping said he has respect for John Summit and their separate paths. “I respect that there’s levels to this game and my mans selling out Madison Square Gardens in NYC and doing 40,000 people in LA, so I’m honoured he joined me for my Hi residency b2b,” he said in his post.

John Summit and Patrick Topping posed together for a photo at a festival in New Castle, UK, which is where he is from in early August teasing their b2b. This brings the question, can we expect more joint John Summit and Patrick Topping performances moving forward?
