NotLö throws a surprise pop-up show at Cheesman Park in Denver

bass artist, Notlö, hosts a pop-up show with Girls Who Drum and Bass in Denver Ahead of Rezz Rocks After party.

NotLö, the distinguished bass artist who calls Denver home, recently played a surprise pop-up set at Cheeseman Park this past weekend. The city of Denver reigns as the Bass Capital of the USA as its home to artists, stellar venues, and some of the most beautiful parks in the country. Cheeseman Park is not as picturesque as Red Rocks, however, the park is becoming a runner-up for hearing low-key live music outdoors.

With a deck, speakers, and flowers, the no-frills pop-up was hosted by Girls Who Drum and Bass. Recently, Girls Who Drum and Bass have been hosting ‘Daylight Sessions’ at the park over the past few months with their first all-female lineup happening this past July.

The lineup for the pop-up session on August 17th had over seven artists, with the special guest being NotLö. NotLö is a bass artist known for her sound that blends elements of dub, grime, and bass-heavy styles creating her unique sound.

Girls Who Drum and Bass wrote on their website ahead of the event, “Join us for our second summer Daylight Session. This gathering is about bringing our community together and celebrating the bonds we’ve built over our love for drum and bass. Join us for a sunny Denver afternoon filled with good company, great music, and endless opportunities to connect with like-minded people. Come soak up the heat and get ready to move. Daylight Sessions is a donation-based event. We are excited to bring the beats and banter, but we kindly ask you to bring your own beverages. Remember, everyone is welcome. See you there.”

NotLö released a two-part EP titled ‘Night Terrors‘ last year after her Hulaween performance. Exron Music had the opportunity to chat with her at the Florida festival in the fall of 2023.

As a rising bass artist, NotLö was on Exron Music’s female artists to watch list in 2022. Also included in that list was VEIL. VEIL and NotLo will go B2B after Rezz takes over Red Rocks on August 30th. The B2B is not the first for the duo, who have also played together at Hulaween. The show will be hosted at Nova Studios in Denver.

Hey! I'm Shiv! Music is the greatest part of my life, I remember discovering dubstep when I was 15/16 and my entire life was altered - robot noises?? I needed MORE! Now, I live in NYC and have seen over 60 artists of all genres; my favorites being Odesza, Subtronics, Rezz, Griz, Zeds Dead, John Summit and Kaskade. I am an enjoyer of music and will try everything once, I do not discriminate - there is beauty in all genres (minus country). You can usually find me in a warehouse at 4AM because I am nocturnal and will quite literally never say no to a show.
