Bass Canyon Forced To Cancel Day 2 Due To Bad Weather And Wind That Ripped LED Screens Off Stage

Despite the extreme weather, Bass Canyon 2024 has a successful and iconic weekend while prioritizing the safety of festival-goers, staff, and artists.

Bass Canyon takes place at The Gorge Amphitheatre from August 16-18. To say the very least, it is certainly a core memory for the rave history books.

Despite the outdoor festival having a rain-or-shine event policy, extreme winds caused festival goers, staff, and artists to be put in a position of possible danger. Bass Canyon organizers immediately took action and shut down Day 2.

Video footage captured by TikTok user @eloci.n shows a real-time update of the LED screen aggressively flying above the crowd. Furthermore, the video shows the crowd to be terrified by the pieces of the screen falling off.

Simultaneously, Bass Canyon organizers ultimately decided to announce the halt of Day 2. Furthermore, festival organizers instructed attendees to swiftly walk away from the LED screen and go towards the exit. Unfortunately, the campsite faced much of the weather’s backlash with ragged tents and canopies.

Despite the weather inconveniences, X users expressed their gratitude. Some even say it was the best Bass Canyon yet.

Iconic performances from Wooli, Ganga White Night, Kill The Noise, Excision, and Zeds Dead made enduring the weather worthwhile.

Gratefully, many artists rescheduled their sets for Sunday, Day 3. On Twitter, Wooli expresses his immense gratitude towards Excision and his team for being kind and cooperative towards schedule changes. Moreover, Excision kindly cut back on his own performance time, allowing Wooli to throw down an iconic performance for Day 3

It is safe to say that in order to see the sun, you had to see some rain! With global warming on the horizon, many festivals such as Ultra Music Festival Miami, Electric Forest, Burning Man, and Elements have all faced cancellations due to dangerous weather.

Yoooo, the homies call me Marz. I am a multidimensional Piscean Latina fairy from Miami-Dade County (no, not Florida). Electronic music has allowed me to appreciate the profound beauty that can be found in finding peace within the chaos. Artists such as Rezz, Skrillex, John Summit, Michael Bibi, and Amtrac blend the two seamlessly, creating a harmonious balance that resonates with me whenever I am on the dancefloor. When I am writing about electronic music, I feel this same balance of peace and chaos moving through me - starting in my hips, filling my heart, and radiating out from my soul. The power of music has brought me to this exact moment, and I only desire that you feel the warmth of the sun through my words.
