YehMe2 says the ‘hardest part’ of leaving Flosstradamus is ‘watching his legacy be erased’

YEhme2 of Flosstradamus has taken to Twitter to discuss his legacy in the trap Duo.

The trap duo Flosstradamus was one of the largest names in dance music in the late 2000s and early 2010s. After breaking up in the mid-2010s, YehMe2 and Curt Cameruci (Flosstradamus) have not had the easiest breakup. YehMe2 has taken to X to discuss his current feelings on the Flosstradamus of today.

YehMe2 wrote on the social media site, X, formerly known as Twitter, “Its been 8 years since I left Floss and the hardest part is watching my legacy be erased/forgotten.” Curt Cameruci, kept the name Flosstradamus as his solo artist name when the pair decided to split.

Over the last few years, Flossatradamus has been touring again solo and with B2Bs with Yellow Claw. Yellow Claw is another big trap artist from the same era as Flossatradamus. YehMe2 has not been touring, but does have one show coming up in Las Vegas.

YehMe2 did get married recently and has started a family. However, his legacy in trap music is something that does not seem to have disappeared with fellow artists commenting on his post. Ravenscoon wrote, “Real ones will never forget.” Cray wrote, “Coachella 420 was a religious experience I’ll never forget.”

Flux Pavilion questioned this, writing, “Floss is being forgotten?” YehMe2 responded, “No, not at all. It’s evolved into something different but it feels like my personal part in dance/edm is being forgotten.” Flux responded, “Nah brother, the work is what survives and the work has your DNA.”

Flossatradamus then wrote in a separate post, “Whoa! I barely use social media anymore. I prefer to stay in the shadows and build future forward things. It’s wild to see the inner projection of hurt humans is what works for engagement. The engagement that fuels me is via real life somatic connection with others. You may think of me by my @ but my name is Curt Cameruci. That’s who I show up to life as. Sending love to everyone.”

YehMe2 and Flosstradamus have not come to a resolution on their decision to part ways eight years ago. As the two artists move forward in their careers, it will be interesting to see if they rejoin forces or if YehMe2 creates new music to fill the void Flosstradamus left.

Hey! I'm Shiv! Music is the greatest part of my life, I remember discovering dubstep when I was 15/16 and my entire life was altered - robot noises?? I needed MORE! Now, I live in NYC and have seen over 60 artists of all genres; my favorites being Odesza, Subtronics, Rezz, Griz, Zeds Dead, John Summit and Kaskade. I am an enjoyer of music and will try everything once, I do not discriminate - there is beauty in all genres (minus country). You can usually find me in a warehouse at 4AM because I am nocturnal and will quite literally never say no to a show.
