Disclosure has released a special rendition of ‘She’s Gone, Dance On’ featuring their father Robin Lawrence. Guy and Howard Lawrence teamed up with their dad and other musicians to give their summer heater a new makeover. The musicians recreated a spiritual rendition of the single, in a live studio session at The Mews in London.
Accompanied by powerful vocalists and a talented band – the brothers show off their instrumental capabilities on the drums and bass. Their father Robin Lawrence makes his eclectic guitar debut on the record gracing the track with a restrained solo.
Since ‘She’s Gone, Dance On’ was released in early summer, many remixes have been made that span across the electronic music genre spectrum. This includes remixes by Hamdi, Carlita, La Horde, and Todd Edwards.
The rise of ‘She’s Gone, Dance On,’ began when Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, and Ice Spice were captured dancing to the track during Dom Dolla’s Coachella set. The aftermath of the viral video was extraordinary. Disclosure has graced audiences with their all-new live show emphasizing live instrumentation at festivals this summer including HARD Summer, Parklife Festival, Primavera Sound, and Glastonbury.
The track was debuted as the “Hottest Record” on BBC Radio 1’s “New Music Show with Jack Saunders.” It had also premiered at #16 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs. Additionally, Billboard’s Friday Dance Music Guide declared, “Disclosure is back, baby” calling the single, a “lush, blissed out swirl of a song.”
With the summer coming to an end, the two are gearing up for performances at CRSSD, Portola, and III Points. On top of their summer touring, Guy has been side-questing with his intimate club series Friends & Family. This series features special b2b sets with Chris Lake, Sammy Virji, Salute, Bonobo, and Channel Tres. Upcoming tour dates can be accessed on Disclosure’s website.
