ISOxo and KNOCK2 release surprise debut album 4EVR as ISOKNOCK

ISOxo and KNOCK2 have surprised fans with the release of their brand new debut album 4EVR as their duo, ISOKNOCK.

The boundary-pushing duo ISOKNOCK, consisting of ISOxo and Knock2, have released their astounding debut album, 4EVR. This unexpected release has the electronic dance scene shaken with excitement. The album was released under the renowned label 88rising, 4EVR showcases their talent by fusing their sound with trap beats, experimental production, and vintage dance-pop filtered through a punk rock lens.

The San Diego natives first met as teenagers while performing on the same local stage at the San Diego County Fair. Their immediate bond was driven by a shared desire to shake up the foundations of dance music. As they ascended individually, playing packed-out renegade shows, performing at major international festivals, and collaborating with icons like Skrillex and RL Grime, they refined multiple iterations of ISOKNOCK. From a humble b2b SoundCloud guest mix in 2019 to their recent sold-out shows, the duo has consistently pushed the boundaries of their genre.

So, fans have been eagerly waiting for their official collab to come out. The debut album is nothing short of a true masterpiece. The tracklist for 4EVR starts with “THRASH (PARTY STARTER),” a song that blends alarming sirens, joyful synth melodies, and a powerful trap drop. The album then transitions to “ENERGY,” a collaborative effort with Bantu that incorporates bass house elements and rhythms inspired by Afrobeat drums. The album concludes with a diverse range of tracks, including the rhythmic “PAIN,” the futuristic trap tune “SIGNAL” featuring Dava, and the emotive R&B-influenced “BLIND” featuring Araya and Sur Black.

Accompanying the release of 4EVR, ISOKNOCK unveiled a compelling short film and music video for the album’s title track, co-directed by Mitchell Mullins and Zach Okami. The short film explores a mysterious relationship between a biker and a young woman who fell in love at an underground party, which premiered at a gallery exhibit alongside their album release event at Los Angeles’ LOT 613 on July 31, 2024. The exhibit traced the parallel timelines of ISOxo and Knock2’s rise from humble beginnings, culminating in a surprise ISOKNOCK performance of their new LP.

With their latest release, the duo presents a full-length project showcasing their intertwined creative sensibilities. The album reflects their rockstar attitude and translates their dramatic visual flair and reputation for extravagant live set pieces into an electrifying listening experience. My name is Emilee Gabbard. I currently live in sunny Orange County, CA. By day I am a project manager working in the aerospace industry, but by night a music blogger for yours truly, Exron Music! I have been writing for Exron Music for around eight months now and cannot wait to see what is to come throughout the years. At festivals and clubs, you will find me at any house and techno stage supporting my favorites Eli Brown or Dom Dolla, or belting every word to Porter Robinson tracks wherever he performs.
