Watch Patrick Topping DJ live from a helicopter in Ibiza

Patrick Topping has posted a live DJ set mixing from a helicopter in Ibiza.

Patrick Topping has recently mixed live on a helicopter in Ibiza. The set is available to watch on Hï Ibiza’s YouTube channel. Topping soared over the island, taking viewers with him to experience this epic event hosted by the prestigious nightclub. This isn’t the first time a DJ has mixed live in a setting like this.

Dynamic duos such as SOFI TUKKER and Adriatique are some of the artists who have posted similar content. SOFI TUKKER did their helicopter set over New York City for the first time in 2022. But, Adriatique was the first to hover over the Swiss Alps and play a live set in 2021. However, this was the first time that a DJ has mixed live above the Mediterranean Sea.

Topping shared exclusive content from before and after the ride. “Somehow I’ve agreed to this,” Topping jokes before hopping on the helicopter. He continues, “I’m a bit nervous about the helicopter, but it’s gonna be epic.” Later on Instagram, Topping revealed that he was mixing on someone else “tiny” controller. He shared that he had “never used before, but it added to the intensity of the experience!”

He also told fans that the event almost didn’t come to light. Topping had actually canceled the helicopter stream 2 weeks prior due to a helicopter crash he saw on the news. Luckily for fans, he ultimately ended up agreeing to do the show again.

When the helicopter landed, Topping exclaimed, “That was a vibe” after completing his 42-minute set. During that time, he purposely mixed lifting and euphoric house music, “to fit the beautiful views [he] was seeing.”

The British DJ currently holds a residency in the acclaimed Club Room at Hï Ibiza. Every Monday night from June 24th – September 9th, the tastemaker DJ will play while Eric Prydz presents his audio-visual show in The Theatre.
