Mochakk unleashes first Installment of dynamic dual EP ‘Locomotiva Ibiza 2099’ on CircoLoco Records

The first part of the much anticipated dual EP drops on July 26th, followed by part two on September 6th.

Building on the success of his globally acclaimed 2023 single “Jealous,” Mochakk returns to Circoloco Records with a vibrant and varied six-track dual EP, “Locomotiva Ibiza 2099.” The Brazilian DJ and producer, celebrated for his high-energy live shows, expands his production range, further establishing himself as a standout in electronic music.

The first part of the collection, “Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 I,” released on July 26th, kicks off with the title track, a surprising collaboration with VTSS. Known for her hard techno style, VTSS ventures into new territory with Mochakk, creating a refreshing track with twinkling synths and a tempo just over 125 bpm.

Following this is “The Line,” a solo effort by Mochakk that features a downtempo house rhythm with sharp snares and a captivating synth line. This track marks one of Mochakk’s initial ventures into incorporating his own vocals, potentially signaling a new creative direction. The dominant vocal hook blends seamlessly with the beat, drawing the listener into the groove. The EP concludes with “Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 (Dub Mix),” a stripped-down yet impactful version of the original. “Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 I” EP is available now on all streaming platforms.

Lastly, the second part of the dual EP, “Locomotiva Ibiza 2099 II,” is set for release on September 6th. It begins with the infectious groove of “No Boys Allowed,” featuring Canadian rapper Tommy Genesis. Known for her collaborations with JPEGMAFIA and Charli XCX, her understated vocal style meshes hypnotically with Mochakk’s production. Their collaboration enhances the driving kick drums, wandering synth melody, and deep bassline.

Finally, check out the first past of the EP below, and don’t forget to catch Mochakk live this summer.

My name is Sebastian Medina and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Ever since I could remember, I have always been in love with dance music. I appreciate all genres and sub-genres but I definitely gravitate towards house and techno. Being from LA I was blessed with an amazing nightlife full of different artists coming in and out of town throughout the years. Some of my favorite artists include Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, Mr.Carmack, PAWSA, and Folamour.
