GORDO has Unveiled Tracklist for Debut Album ‘DIAMANTE’ and Surprised Fans with Collaborations Featuring Drake, Fuerza Regida, T-Pain, Maluma, Nicki Nicole, Feid, Leon Bridges, &ME, Rampa, and More.

Diamante Blackmon, better known by his stage name GORDO and previous alias Carnage, has announced the tracklist for his long-awaited album DIAMANTE,’ set to release July 26th via Ultra Records. Composed of 16 songs and 20,000 hours of work, the debut project unites diverse genres by integrating artists such as Drake, Fuerza Regida, Leon Bridges, &Me, and various other talented musicians/producers. GORDO is set to offer his fans a unique experience by not just giving them normal dance music, but by telling a story through his mastery craft.

Regarding the new album, GORDO has stated, “I’m so proud of how ‘DIAMANTE’ turned out. At this point, there’s nothing I would change; I guess that’s why it took four years—to ensure I could look at it and know it’s perfect. It’s the most emotional project I’ve worked on in my life. It features work from artists I’ve looked up to and those who inspire me, some I’ve known for years and others I’ve met more recently.”

GORDO draws inspiration not only from the artists he admires but also from those close to him. Paying tribute to his family, Blackmon further expressed, “My grandmother is my best friend. During the pandemic, I moved to Hawaii with her, and for most of that time, it was just the two of us. This was when GORDO came to life and when I began working on most of the songs on the album. Each and every song on ‘DIAMANTE’ received her seal of approval. She’s such an inspiration to me, especially in the way she took care of her family during so many difficult times.”

The tracklist for ‘DIAMANTE’ illustrates GORDO’s commitment to a full-length project, starting with the thoughtful intro “Guard Down” featuring &ME along with stellar vocals from Alice Aera. The album then transitions into the highly anticipated track “Sideways,” a collaboration with Drake, followed by “Honeyland” (feat. Afshin Momadi) and “Easier” with Rampa, displaying GORDO’s creative confidence.

‘DIAMANTE’ continues with a mix of collaborations, including T-Pain on “Target,” Larry June on “Lake Como,” and the last-minute addition, “NENE,” with Fuerza Regida. Also notable are “Candid Zone” with Leon Bridges, which merges R&B and house, and “Kill For This Sh*t” with Young Dolph, a house banger that energizes the dancefloor. GORDO incorporates his Latin American background in tracks like “Cafecito” with Nicki Nicole and Sech, “Parcera” with Maluma, and “Hombre y Mujeres.” The album reaches its peak with high-energy tracks like “Take Control” and “WDYM” (featuring Karolina Falk), concluding with “Aura” (featuring NTO), a heartfelt tribute to his grandmother.

True to its name, ‘DIAMANTE’ stands out as Blackmon’s most emotional work, dedicated to GORDO’s family, friends, and loved ones. The album takes listeners on a journey of musical freedom as he embraces his Nicaraguan-American heritage. Combining genres such as Dance, Hip Hop, Pop, Reggaeton, Indie, and Jazz with electronic dance music, the album highlights a mix of renowned artists and rising talent, providing a groundbreaking musical experience.
