EDC reveals dates for debut Thailand edition in 2025

EDC Thailand is a new chapter for the electric sky coming in just six months.

EDC will be heading to Thailand, bringing its iconic experience to the stunning shores of Phuket. EDC Thailand is officially set to take place on January 17, 18, and 19, in 2025, at the Boat Avenue Lakefront.

EDC has grown from a humble underground event in Los Angeles to a global sensation, hosting festivals in locations like Las Vegas, Orlando, Mexico City, Tokyo, EDSEA, and now Thailand. Each EDC event is a unique blend of top-tier electronic music, intricate light displays, massive art installations, and an overall sense of unity and love among attendees, affectionately known as Headliners.

EDC Thailand was confirmed in early July and sent waves of excitement throughout the EDM community as ravers are particularly excited about this location. It was confirmed when an official Instagram was created for the festival. The first post said, “Hello #EDCThailand Hello Thailand Stay tuned for official updates! EDCThailand.com.”

Founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella accidentally teased that EDC would be headed to Thailand during an interview when the EDC Las Vegas 2024 lineup was being announced a few months ago. He said, “And then we toured around the world. I mean we’ve been to China, Thailand.” This was followed by a long pause as he realized he slipped his words. 

The dates were announced a month after the event was confirmed. “We’ve been all around the world and are excited to invite you to our next EDC chapter! Presenting #EDCThailand: Jan. 17+18+19, 2025 at Boat Avenue Lakefront, Phuket. We cannot wait to create unbelievable memories with all of YOU under the Electric Sky, Headliners!” is the official post from EDC.

As the countdown to January 2025 begins, fans from all corners of the globe are already making plans to join this historic event per the comments on the event’s posts. The Thailand chapter is set to be a milestone in the festival’s history.
