Shaq and son Myles O’Neal debut duo DJ project at Tomorrowland’s Rave Cave during weekend one
SHAQ AND MYLES O’NEAL ROCK TOMORROWLAND’S RAVE CAVE AS NEW FATHER-SON ALIAS.
This past Tomorrowland, Shaq aka DJ Diesel dropped some big news alongside his son for his fans. Myles O’Neal announced to Tomorrowland’s One World Radio that his father, Shaquille O’Neal, also known as DJ Diesel, will join him for an electrifying DJ set in the festival’s Rave Cave.
Shortly before the father-son act debuted at Tomorrowland’s Rave Cave stage on Sunday, they announced their new endeavor on the festival’s One World Radio. “We’ve got some special news,” Myles told the host, AdamK. “We’re debuting our duo, a father-son duo. First father-son duo in the space, O’Neal Boyz.“
Known for its underground aesthetic and tight quarters, the Rave Cave is one of Tomorrowland’s most intimate stages. It offers a unique contrast to its larger-than-life Mainstage. Myles, who DJed at EDM.com’s Miami Music Week party earlier in 2024, humorously prepared his towering father for the unique occasion, saying it was “going to be a surprise” for him.
Diesel, is an NBA Hall of Famer who has also made a significant impact in the world of dance music. He began his DJ career in the early 1990s, leveraging his celebrity status to break into the music industry. Over the years, Diesel has performed at major music festivals such as Tomorrowland and Lollapalooza, gaining recognition for his energetic sets and impressive stage presence. His music style typically includes a mix of dubstep, bass, and trap, reflecting his dynamic personality and passion for high-energy performances.
Where can you catch the next O’Neal Boyz set? Needless to say, EDM’s newest father-son DJ duo should have no problem making their next move.
