Anjuna transforms popular Explorations EP series into new label for emerging talent

Global tastemaker Anjuna has launched a new label for emerging talent based on their popular Explorations EP series.

The Anjuna family, founded by Above & Beyond, welcomes the latest addition to their umbrella of labels with Explorations. The imprint already consists of Anjunabeats, Anjunadeep, and Reflections, therefore Explorations is the fourth and newest label.

Based on the popular EP series, Explorations will focus on finding the next generation of talent in the electronic dance music world. The label’s debut release features a 12″ white label sampler with six tracks as a limited run.

Anjuna is coming up on 20 years in the industry, with roots that began with Anjunadeep, the brand’s most iconic label. It cultivated the breakout careers for artists such as Lane 8, Dusky, Tinlicker, and Ben Böhmer.

The latest imprint, officially titled Anjunadeep Explorations, evolved out of the Various Artists EP series. From 2016-2023, Anjunadeep curated 25 editions that launched careers and influenced the dance music scene.

For the first sampler, Explorations recruits LAR, Mona Vale, Chris Luno, Klur, Marley Caroll, and Omfeel. All six artists have been officially signed to the label as well, with individual digital releases to follow.

To kick off the compilation, Sweden-based LAR shares “Over & Over,” with vocalist ALLKNIGHT over a melodic beat. Mona Vale return to the label with “Give It Time,” a nostalgic piano-backed tune also featuring The London duo’s own vocals.

Berlin-based Chris Luno shares “Calmy” for the sampler, while Klur graces the sampler for his Anjuna debut with “High Above,” a lush production of textured synths. Recently, he supported PRAANA on their 2024 tour, making 2024 Klur’s biggest year to date.

Marley Carroll contributes “One More Year,” a single from his forthcoming EP of the same name. Rounding off the EP is Omfeel with “Flying the Moment,” which showcases her professional pianist background. Explorations will continue to platform emerging artists, with future releases to come in the next months. Explorations is also the name of the label’s multi-day festival, which will continue in 2025.
