Peggy Gou has set aside time for family after devasting news.

Peggy Gou has canceled her upcoming tour stops as she mourns the loss of her grandmother. Announced on Instagram, there is an unshakeable dread with this family departure. Through a series of photos, Peggy Gou has expressed a deep-seated love for her grandmother, who she describes as a “guardian angel.”

Because her grandmother lived in South Korea, Peggy herself has often made trips back to her homeland. Clearly, no work schedule or business commitments had kept the Korean artist away for too long. Nonetheless, the news has stifled and put a temporary halt on performances.

On the night of the news, Peggy had not backed out of her plans to perform, though she said, “Hope you understand I might not be in best form.” Despite her dogged nature, she has conveyed the importance of time to mourn and to be with family. Off to Korea, it’s unclear when she will return to the stage. 

Over the course of a decade-plus, Peggy has made a sterling name for herself. She has put together quite the ensemble of music and appearance, always fronting her intrinsic skill and undeniable vibe. Refining her skill and ceaselessly putting out music, the DJ has deservedly been at center stage in the EDM scene.

Peggy has graced crowds at a number of high-caliber festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, and many more. She has found a keen way to galvanize crowds, effortlessly binding individuals into a singular unit. This is simply a talent she displays time and time again. 

Based on her success as well as her Instagram post, it seems her grandmother was in some way or another a part of all the growth. Amid her high-gear profession, Peggy has said it’s time to slow down. Undoubtedly and as Peggy wishes, her grandmother will keep watching over her as she continues forward.
