Wooli announces Excision as surprise guest for sold-out show in Los Angeles

Wooli invites Excision to join him as a special guest after selling out Bassrush.

Wooli is the next big thing in dubstep, and he has made that known by inviting Excision as a special guest to his show at Bassrush LA last weekend. Wooli is sometimes seen as Excision Junior, but not much longer as the upcoming dubstep behemoth continues to make an outstanding name for himself beside one of the greats, Excision.

Often seen as a prodigy of Excision, Wooli has been able to carve out his niche and has made this known with this show where he brought Excision along as a special treat for the bass heads. This announcement was made via Wooli’s Twitter with an Excision quote tweet stating with excitement, “SEE YOU ALL THIS SATURDAY!!”

Wooli aka Adam Puleo, is one of the newest talents in dubstep, but not one of the least mighty. With a mammoth logo, the dubstep star is quickly making a strong household name for himself.

It’s only July and Wooli has already had an insane year from touring with Subtronics to playing Ultra Miami to proposing to his fiance Rachel and collaborating with Excision and Illenium. To add to his many accomplishments, he sold out the LA Coliseum for Bassrush, a stadium that holds 77,500 people in total. Also on the lineup were Tape B, Cyclops, and VKTM.

This is a mega-moment for dubstep as it could acknowledge a changing of the guard for the genre. Excision has held dominance for many years and rightfully so, but it seems he can carve out space for the newcomers and appreciate their talent, which is hard to find within music giants sometimes.

As Excision is one of the largest names in dubstep, it is endearing that he can acknowledge the talent he helped to inspire. Wooli inviting Excision on stage at Bassrush versus it being the other way around was monumental.

Hey! I'm Shiv! Music is the greatest part of my life, I remember discovering dubstep when I was 15/16 and my entire life was altered - robot noises?? I needed MORE! Now, I live in NYC and have seen over 60 artists of all genres; my favorites being Odesza, Subtronics, Rezz, Griz, Zeds Dead, John Summit and Kaskade. I am an enjoyer of music and will try everything once, I do not discriminate - there is beauty in all genres (minus country). You can usually find me in a warehouse at 4AM because I am nocturnal and will quite literally never say no to a show.
