Dennis Ferrer launches new label Thriftshoppe in attempt to ‘revisit musicality’ over industry trends

Dennis ferrer has tapped into a more authentic approach to music.

Dennis Ferrer has launched a new label Thriftshoppe in an attempt to “revisit musicality” lover industry trends. Opting for a change in approach, the NY native DJ has tapped into his intrinsic affection for music. From a wider perspective, he has instigated a paradigm shift in the way people make and listen to music.

Certainly, one can understand why Dennis Ferrer has brought this notion of “revisiting musicality” to the fray. Creatives at large have sought to get their noses in front anyway possible. For a musician to adapt style and musical temperature to the trending whims of fans and industry has seemingly edged into rigid normalcy.

Breaking this habit, Ferrer has announced “Fit Check,” as the first record under Thriftshoppe. This track, coming out July 19th, has piqued anticipation as its author is Nasser Baker. Commanding and unwavering, Nasser Baker has demonstrated his ability to gravitate and lock listeners for the full lengths of his songs.

It surely won’t be too long until this track has amplified clubs, dance floors, and parties at large. Baker has exemplified exactly what Thriftshoppe is after – uniquely curated and naturally alluring. Dennis Ferrer has perhaps come at the perfect time, with summer days around their peak.

Ferrer himself has left his mark in a number of scenes over the course of his career. Since the mid-90s, he has produced a large volume of tracks – many of which collaborated or remixed with artists like Jack Back, David Guetta, Seth Troxler, and more. He is also no stranger to big audiences, playing at places like the ARC festival and Ibiza

The New Yorker has made strides over the years and continues to bound across the EDM scene. Dennis Ferrer has surely done wonders in launching Thrifshoppe. Only time will tell how his revisit to musicality will change the texture of music’s output.
