ODESZA apologizes after The Last Goodbye tour finale ends early from fire started by pyrotechnics

ODESZA has apologized after their The Last Goodbye tour finale abruptly ended following a fire caused by pyrotechnics.

In a dramatic and unforeseen conclusion to ODESZA’s The Last Goodbye tour, the final show at the Gorge Amphitheatre on July 8th was abruptly ended when pyrotechnics ignited a brush fire. The event, which had been highly anticipated as the grand finale of the duo’s two-year-long tour, was brought to an unexpected halt, prioritizing the safety of the audience and crew.

As the concert reached its climactic encore, sparks from the pyrotechnic display ignited nearby brush, causing a fire that quickly spread. The venue’s emergency protocols were immediately enacted, and thousands of fans were evacuated from the area. Thanks to the swift response of the venue staff and local fire departments, the fire was quickly contained without any injuries reported.

In the aftermath of the incident, ODESZA expressed their regret over the abrupt ending of the show through a heartfelt statement on social media. In their statement they state “ To every who was there for the last show, we truly wish we could’ve played our encore for you, but safety is always our #1 priority. We are so thankful to the crew and venue staff for handling the situation quickly and keeping everyone safe. We are also so appreciative to our fans for following protocol and understanding that everyone’s collective safety comes first.”

The duo also conveyed their deep appreciation for the support and understanding shown by their fans during this challenging situation. In their statement, they say “Despite not getting to finish the set, we felt the love of everyone in the crowd that night more than ever. This show has meant so much to us over the last two years and seeing the faces of every that comes out is always so inspiring. thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who made this tour so special.”
