Watch Peggy Gou and surprise guest Sophie Ellis-Bextor perform at Glastonbury

Ellis-Bextor performs smash hit ‘Murder On the Dancefloor’ during Gou’s glastonbury set.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor teamed up with Peggy Gou to perform ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ at Glastonbury 2024. Watch the performance below.

This memorable moment occurred during Peggy Gou’s set at the Park Stage at Worthy Farm on Saturday (June 29). The South Korean DJ, the first female DJ to headline the stage, took the crowd on a nostalgic journey by inviting Ellis-Bextor onstage to perform the cult classic track, which has recently gone viral.

About two-thirds into the performance, Ellis-Bextor announced, “In celebration of this beautiful night and Peggy being the first female DJ to headline Park, how about we have a little singalong?” Gou smiled and touched her after the acknowledgment, as Ellis-Bextor led the crowd in an impressively loud and lyrically coherent singalong. Ellis-Bextor’s ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ – first released in 2001 – enjoyed a massive resurgence late last year and early this year thanks to its inclusion in a particularly infamous and cheeky scene from Saltburn.

The 2024 edition of Glastonbury has now come to a close, with SZA delivering a four-star headlining showcase at the Pyramid Stage despite technical issues, while The National put on a five-star closing slot at the Other Stage. Over the weekend, Kasabian rocked up to Woodsies for their not-so-secret set, Coldplay’s electric headlining set on Saturday scored them a four-star review, Little Simz’s Pyramid performance marked her bid as a future headliner, and Camila Cabello shone with a chaotic performance.

Last but not least, as Peggy Gou continues to take on the biggest stages of the world she keeps growing both as an artist and industry leader.

My name is Sebastian Medina and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Ever since I could remember, I have always been in love with dance music. I appreciate all genres and sub-genres but I definitely gravitate towards house and techno. Being from LA I was blessed with an amazing nightlife full of different artists coming in and out of town throughout the years. Some of my favorite artists include Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, Mr.Carmack, PAWSA, and Folamour.
