Sofi Tukker Cancels July European Tour Dates Due to Prolonged Illness and Extreme Exhaustion

Sofi Tukker has announced they have to cancel their European tour dates this month due to Tucker’s prolonged illness. 

In a sincere statement, the acclaimed electronic dance music duo, Sofi Tukker, has regrettably decided to cancel their upcoming European tour dates in July due to health concerns. Tucker Halpern, one part of the duo, shared the difficult news via Instagram, expressing profound regret and disappointment. This decision was made after a month-long battle with a recurring strep throat infection, leaving Tucker severely exhausted and in need of rest.

Tucker explained that despite multiple courses of antibiotics, the infection persisted, likely exacerbated by his existing autoimmune issues. The same health problems, that cut short his college basketball career, have hindered his body’s ability to fully recover from the infection. In addition to the physical toll, Tucker has grappled with extreme exhaustion, a condition he attributes to his body’s prolonged fight against strep throat while maintaining a grueling tour schedule.

The dynamic duo, known for their energetic performances and infectious personalities, expressed their disappointment through social media. In a heartfelt social media post, Tucker announced the cancellation with extreme sorrow. He states “I’m really bummed to make this announcement that we are canceling our European run of festivals and shows this month. I was seriously looking forward to this all year and am sorry to all the people who made plans to come see us and the promoters and festivals we made commitments to.”

He follows up with more information on this condition stating, “ For over a month now I have been struggling with strep throat. I have taken antibiotics multiple times but it continues to come back after each course. We think this is due to my autoimmune problems with my body being unable to get rid of the infection fully.”

Despite this setback, Sofi Tukker remains optimistic about the future. Tucker is determined to dedicate the next three to four weeks to rest and recovery, to return to the stage stronger and healthier. The beloved duo has reassured their fans of a return to Europe soon, promising to make up for the canceled dates. As Tucker prioritizes his health, fans share their support for a quick and healthy recovery.
