Daytrip Festival makes a splash with huge venue upgrades and summer vibes during its 2024 edition

Daytrip Festival has yet again proved itself as the number one summer kickoff in Los Angeles with its 2024 edition.

Last week, ravers converged from across Los Angeles in sunny Long Beach, California, for the iconic Daytrip Festival. The two-day event was filled with vibrant energy and excitement from start to finish, featuring a lineup of renowned house and techno artists.

In response to feedback from previous years, Insomniac made significant improvements to safety and the venue. The shuttle location was moved to Marina Green Park making transportation to the venue more convenient. The venue space was expanded, like Dreamstate and Apocalypse, providing better crowd control and more room for attendees to dance.

Day One offered a diverse lineup of techno and house artists. The techno-driven Deep End stage featured performances from Space 92, Sam Paganini, and Lily Palmer, while the main stage, High Tide, kicked off with back-to-back sets from Tom & Collins and TOBEHONEST. As the sun began to set over the iconic Queen Mary, the atmosphere was enhanced by picturesque scenery.

Day Two brought another day of exceptional talent to the Queen Mary. Despite the hot weather, fans eagerly started the party early. Sosa, one of the biggest names in house music, took the stage and incorporated groovy beats, including a remix of Britney Spears’ hit song. The highlight of his set was his latest hit, “BLOW,” which had the entire audience jumping and singing along.

Following Sosa’s energetic set, Max Styler kept the energy going with an early performance on the main stage. As the day progressed, the lineup at High Tide continued to impress with back-to-back sets from Solardo and Joshwa.

As night fell, the crowd gathered for the closing acts on the main stage. Mau P played all his hits and even addressed the diss track about his dancing, showing off his moves on stage. Kaskade took the stage and delivered a magical set, playing classics like ” Eyes” and paying tribute to fellow Chicago native John Summit. His performance was a fitting end to a beautiful weekend. Daytrip Festival always delivers year after year. So, let the countdown for 2025 begin!

My name is Emilee Gabbard. I currently live in sunny Orange County, CA. By day I am a project manager working in the aerospace industry, but by night a music blogger for yours truly, Exron Music! I have been writing for Exron Music for around eight months now and cannot wait to see what is to come throughout the years. At festivals and clubs, you will find me at any house and techno stage supporting my favorites Eli Brown or Dom Dolla, or belting every word to Porter Robinson tracks wherever he performs.
