Eli Brown was born and raised in Bristol, U.K., and was exposed to a wide variety of music from a young age. Known for making club hits and massive waves early in the industry, Eli has received support from a wide array of artists such as Carl Cox, Green Velvet, Calvin Harris, and many more. This star also launched his own label, Arcane, and is making his way to the top of the techno charts.

If that isn’t enough to get your blood pumping, Eli won Artist of the Month from Beatportal in May of this year. The article states the artist was introduced to electronic music as early as 10 when he received his first record from his dad. The young lad was going to clubs with his friends at 16 years old, being exposed to Drum’n’Bass and Jungle. After getting his own bedroom set up, the artist knew his love was profound. It only took about 1 year for Eli to start getting his music signed to labels.

HI-LO, which comes from “Oli H” backward (also known as Oliver Heldens), is originally from the Netherlands and takes on the techno alias for his darkest tracks. Releasing heavy hitters on labels such as DrumCode, a Swedish Trance Label managed by Adam Beyer, the artist has received support from Adam Beyer himself – one of the few techno originators from the 90s who continues to break down barriers. The artist has received support from other artists such as Joseph Capriati, ANNA, Joris Voorn, Nicole Moudaber, and more.

HI-LO has been releasing music since as early as 2013 and has since launched Heldeep Records and HILOMATIK. He has surpassed over a billion cumulative streams and has been listed on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs every year for the last decade – 2024 will determine if he will hit the ten-year streak.
