Lilly Palmer transformed NOTO Houston into a techno haven
Lilly Palmer returned to Houston this weekend and tore down the dancefloor at one of the city’s most elite nightclubs.
Techno queen Lilly Palmer has been touring the liveliest music-filled cities, taking the world by storm with her mesmerizing techno-heavy beats. Hailing from Germany, she’s been rising in popularity across North America following her grand European success.
Recently, Lilly Palmer garnered thousands of new techno admirers with her EDC Las Vegas performance, turning music lovers of other EDM genres over to the dark side with her electrifying techno soundscapes. Following that incredible performance, fans who reside in the States hoped to catch her at a show or festival in the U.S. in the near future, and luckily cities like Los Angeles and Houston have had the privilege to host her.
This past weekend, ravers had the pleasure of catching Lilly Palmer at NOTO Houston for the nightclub’s first-anniversary celebration. Located in East Downtown, one of Houston’s most dance music-friendly areas, the nightclub was the perfect locale for Lilly’s encaptivating, hard-hitting live beats.
With everyone in the crowd dressed to the nines mostly in all black as all techno snobs do, the energy and the vibes were high from the moment we walked through NOTO’s doors. Texas ravers are recognized for admiring the techno genre, and we encountered devoted Lilly Palmer fans who traveled hours from other well-known Texas cities like Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas just to catch her tour stop in HTX.
Throughout the evening, Lilly Palmer incorporated a perfect balance of her most well-known tracks and a few unreleased IDs within her set. The crowd went absolutely wild when she played tunes like “New Generation”, her remix of Armin van Buuren‘s “Blah Blah Blah”, “Gasoline” with Eli Brown, and “The Violator.”
For those who had never witnessed a live Lilly Palmer set and had the pleasure of attending her recent NOTO Houston show, she exceeded all expectations. From midnight to 2 am, she had every single techno aficionado in the crowd in a state of trance. Once the lights came on because the nightclub was closing its doors, no attendee had any desire to leave after experiencing such a spectacular set.
