Fred Again.. continues streak of sold-out shows across the West Coast

Fred Again.. has completed his sold-out Bay Area takeover, featuring a pop-up rave with Skrillex in San Francisco and multiple solo shows at Stanford.

Fred Again.. live shows are the hottest ticket in town, and his streak of sold-out Bay Area performances is proof of that. In May, the London-born producer surprised fans with the last-minute announcement, since it didn’t appear that he was on tour. However, his Grammy win in February indicated that 2024 would be his biggest year yet—and it’s clear that he’s just getting started.

The May announcement revealed that Fred would play three nights of shows in San Francisco, within just one week away. However, the venue’s location was actually 45 minutes south of the city, at Stanford’s Frost Amphitheater. Nonetheless, the shows sold out in a flash, which is not uncommon for Fred Again.. these days.

The producer then shared that he had a special San Francisco show in the works, with Skrillex in the mix. Together, they unveiled news of a pop-up rave that would take place at Civic Center, right on city government property. Tickets went on sale just days before the June 1 event, selling out almost instantly.

The party proved to be of epic proportions, featuring unreleased tracks and creative mixes in front of 25,000 people. There was even a surprise guest, with Anderson .Paak performing “places to be,” his new collaboration with Fred Again…

The iconic evening brought rave reviews, piquing interest in what Fred would bring to Stanford from June 4-6. These headlining shows highlighted how Fred is one of the biggest names in electronic music today, and he created magic each night.

On June 6, Fred warmed up with a vocal melody and live piano playing against a white light backdrop. As the sun set, he opened the show with his rendition of “Kyle (I found you)” into “Angie (I’ve been lost).” Tony Friend joined Fred on stage for “bleu (better with time),” with lights to tonally match the song’s name. Fred continued to play songs off of the ‘Actual Life’ album series while Tony assisted as his DJ.

The first track off ‘USB’ that Fred dropped was “stayinit,” his collaboration with Lil Yachty and Overmono—and the crowd went wild! The hype continued as he played “places to be,” making it clear we were officially in the party portion of the evening.

Tony spun “BerwynGesaffNeighbors” while Fred snuck off stage, and into the crowd next to the sound booth. He stood on a platform to show off his live finger drumming skills to a mix of “Jungle” and “Rumble.” In the same segment, Fred dropped the unreleased ID “Side by Side,” into a flip of his new edit with PARISI. He teamed up with Tony across the crowd to collaborate, creating a wave of energy that felt intimately immersive.

After the 15-minute sideshow, Fred ran back to the main stage to join Tony for the rest of the evening. He dropped classic tracks, along with his mash-up of “Chanel” by Frank Ocean and “Sabrina (I am a party).”

One of the evening’s most magical moments occurred when “Strong” weaved into “Angie (I’ve been lost).” Fred asked one side of the crowd to sing “I’ve been lost,” with the other half singing “You don’t have to be so strong.” Each side alternated turns, with the entire crowd harmonizing for a beautiful blend.

“Delilah (pull me out of this)” ended the evening on a high note, with Fred opting out of an encore. Show 3 perfectly wrapped his sold-out streak—but he was not ready to leave the West Coast just yet.

In true Fred fashion, he announced another massive show, with less than a week’s notice. He will play at the LA Memorial Coliseum, “our first stadium,” on Friday, June 14. Unsurprisingly, tickets for that show have sold out.

Every show Fred touches turns to sold-out gold, but the rest of the country wondered when their time would come. Fred shared via Instagram that this rush of shows would eventually branch out, asking fans to bear with him. It’s no telling where Fred Again.. will go next, but we can only assume that those tickets will sell out again, again and again.
