Vulllgur announces departure of band member Bag Head following disturbing allegations

Vulllgur announces the departure of Bag Head following allegations of obsessive behavior and anti-Semitic views from an alleged ex-girlfriend.

In recent developments, the dubstep group Vulllgur has announced the departure of their member Bag Head following serious allegations from an alleged ex-girlfriend. The accusations, detailed in a series of tweets, have generated significant public interest and discussion.

The ex-girlfriend revealed behavior of a person she called “Smiley from Vulllgur, illusive, and Evan Shoemake” that included numerous attempts to contact her when she seemingly did not want to be contacted. Screenshots of her call log, attached to her tweet, showed dozens of missed calls to verify her claims. She captioned the tweet: “I can’t hold this anymore. This is the truth behind Smiley from Vulllgur, Illusive, and Evan Shoemake.

In another tweet, she claimed that the band member harbors anti-Semitic views, including a screenshot allegedly showing him stating, “I got Jews to burn.” This has led to further scrutiny and discussion regarding the band’s practices and their implications.

These allegations come after an incident at Lost Lands 2023, where Vulllgur was accused of using visuals from a Holocaust documentary during their set. The band initially responded by claiming the clip was mistakenly sourced, believing it to be from the movie Contagion.

Vulllgur stated, “It has come to our attention that one of the clips we used in our visual was highly insensitive. We thought it was sourced from the movie Contagion and it clearly wasn’t. This was a major oversight on our part and we will make sure to be mindful of the sources for our visuals moving forward. We sincerely apologize for our mistake and we promise to do better.”

At the time, some fans believed it was an honest mistake. However, the recent allegations have prompted further speculation that the use of the Holocaust documentary clip may have been deliberate, given the band member’s alleged admission of being a Nazi and expressing hatred towards Jews.

Vulllgur has confirmed Bag Head’s departure but has not released a detailed statement addressing the specific allegations. Some fans don’t believe Vulllgur should come back from this, with one person noting, “I enjoy ur music and ur brand so much, i’m incredibly sad that yall turned out to be like this :/”
