He recently appeared at the 2024 International Music Summit. The International Music Summit is a global platform that focuses on industry, culture, education, technology, and wellness in electronic music. The event was established in 2007 by a team including Pete Tong to promote sustainable growth within the global music industry and inspire positive change. The main event, IMS Ibiza, takes place annually in April and brings together many in the electronic realm to discuss different topics and issues in the industry.

In an Instagram post by Crossfader, Mochakk received a question during the event asking, “How do I grow beyond being a local DJ?” He swiftly answered by emphasizing the importance of persistence and self-belief for DJs aiming to transcend their local market. He encourages DJs to embrace the grind but also stresses the importance of getting their faces out there. “Show your face, be at places. Get to know people. Get to know how things work,” he states, emphasizing the importance of getting known not just through content, but also physically.

Mochakk emphasizes the importance of networking and building relationships within the industry. He advises getting to know the people involved and understanding how things work. For example, he shared a story about connecting with a label in Brazil, which eventually led to him being invited to a showcase and getting future gigs.

My name is Emilee Gabbard. I currently live in sunny Orange County, CA. By day I am a project manager working in the aerospace industry, but by night a music blogger for yours truly, Exron Music! I have been writing for Exron Music for around eight months now and cannot wait to see what is to come throughout the years. At festivals and clubs, you will find me at any house and techno stage supporting my favorites Eli Brown or Dom Dolla, or belting every word to Porter Robinson tracks wherever he performs.

What's your reaction?
