Fisher drops out of Bonnaroo due to wife Chloe’s pregnancy

Amid his wife’s pregnancy complications, Fisher has been replaced as Thursday’s Bonnaroo headliner by Chris Lake.

Bonnaroo week is upon us once again, but not without some last-minute changes. The festival has announced that Thursday headliner Fisher will not be able to make it to his scheduled sets. Instead, fellow house music artist and collaborator Chris Lake will be stepping in to fill his shoes. With this announcement, Chris Lake will now be playing two sets on two different stages on Thursday, June 13th.

Though the festival didn’t specifically confirm it in their announcement, Fisher’s absence this weekend is potentially due to his wife Chloe’s pregnancy. In early May, Chloe was admitted to a hospital in Australia and Fisher had to reschedule his shows at the Brooklyn Navy Yard to stay by her side. Similarly, last week he postponed his Hi Ibiza residency amid a few “hiccups” related to the pregnancy.

With Bonnaroo officially off the docket for Fisher, all eyes now turn to his next shows in early July. His first show at Hi Ibiza is rescheduled for July 3rd, and his shows at the Brooklyn Navy Yard are now set for July 5th-7th. For the sake of these shows and, much more importantly, their baby, fans are hoping along with Fisher and Chloe that the remainder of the pregnancy goes off without a hitch.

For attendees of Bonnaroo, a fantastic weekend will carry on despite the last-minute cancellation, thanks in part to Chris Lake. Chris is familiar with the festival, most recently playing there in 2022, and will surely bring all sorts of energy to make up for Fisher’s absence. Dance music fans will also be treated to performances from Pretty Lights, Seven Lions, Diplo, Fred Again.., Two Friends, and many more.
