The french dj has invigorated fans with promise of bass only set.

DJ Snake has announced a first-ever “bass music only” set at Lost Lands 2024. As the closing act of Lost Lands, the Parisian DJ has shed all parameters of mainstream expectation and is set to bestow an unbridled version of himself. Renowned for his vibrant displays on stage, Excision (hosting Lost Lands) has given music lovers an end-of-summer hope.

Jeff Abel (Excision) had given DJ Snake the go-ahead to orchestrate a set with no boundaries in a text exchange. A single sentence captures the impending vibe for the September show – “No rules, just go as hard as you want to.” Free to roam the depths of his musicality, DJ Snake has piqued the attention of music lovers alike.

Lost Lands, an Ohio-based festival, has surely cemented its eminence and proven it is equipped to handle an unchained French DJ. With an array of vibrant and eccentric stages, Thornville, Ohio has set itself up for a pulsating performance. Undoubtedly, crowds will surge around DJ Snake’s stage.

Over the years, the artist has shown no shortage of high-caliber tracks. Songs such as “Lean On,” “Taki Taki,” and “Middle,” (among many others) have been part of the reason DJ Snake has aggregated more than 35 million listeners on Spotify alone. With certainty, his foray into production is due to his innate talents in music.

Lost Lands has curated a delightful roster of artists around the French DJ too. The likes of San Holo, Dr. Fresch, Ship Wrek, Noizu, Levity and so many more have spiked anticipation. The festival has definitely nuzzled its way into undeniable prominence with this makeup of DJs.

Curiously, there is a mystic sense around what a “bass music only” set could look like from DJ Snake. Always rising to the occasion, he has a unique ability to merge crowds into a singular unit. In this case, however, his no rules set might seismically enrapture individuals to unknown proportions.

Like many others, I often dive into a variety of music genres and explore, as best I can, what resonates while I listen. For me, EDM is a dense subset of music with unique artistry and textured sounds - a facet of melody and tune that I will always investigate.
