Inside North America’s newest Drum & Bass label: BEACON

A new chapter in the American Drum & Bass scene has begun with the announcement of BEACON, a USA-based Drum & Bass label.

The label aims to spotlight emerging talents, drive innovation, and honor the rich history of Drum & Bass in the United States. BEACON has officially revealed its plans to debut with the release of the title track from the forthcoming ‘Carry The Fire’ EP (out June 14th), featuring prominent North American Drum & Bass artists Bensley, Justin Hawkes, and Kumarion. Known for their dynamic and innovative contributions to the genre, these artists have united to deliver a groundbreaking project that promises to elevate the North American Drum & Bass scene.

The excitement surrounding BEACON’s launch has been heightened by the announcement of a 24-city tour, which will see Bensley, Justin Hawkes, and Kumarion perform in major markets including Vancouver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Chicago. This extensive tour underscores the label’s commitment to bringing Drum & Bass to a wider American audience.

AEI Music, the founders of UKF and partners to DNB Arena and NCS, have partnered with BEACON to provide label and distribution support, ensuring a robust platform for the label’s artists.

Anthony Tedder, the founder of BEACON, has expressed his vision for the label, stating, “Being a DNB fan in the United States has been a humbling experience. Artists and patrons have been holding down the culture from the underground to the festival stages. The scene is rich with enthusiasts, but we haven’t fully cracked into the mainstream of American dance music.” Tedder emphasizes BEACON’s mission to nurture and grow the Drum & Bass scene in the USA, aspiring to make it a mainstay in American dance music culture.

BEACON’s launch symbolizes a dedicated effort to cultivate a thriving community for both home-grown and international artists. The label strives to lead and define the US Drum & Bass scene through innovation, collaboration, and a deep respect for the genre’s storied history in America.
