Fisher postpones Hï Ibiza residency due to difficulties with wife Chloe’s pregnancy
Fisher has delayed his upcoming residency at Hï Ibiza to stay close to wife Chloe during her pregnancy, as recommended by their doctor.
Australian DJ Fisher is arguably in the biggest year of his career, recently with a rework of “Waiting for Tonight” with Jennifer Lopez. He also performed a massive closing set at Ultra Miami with frequent collaborator Chris Lake.
Perhaps Fisher’s greatest collaboration of all time is still yet to come, with he and his wife Chloe announcing her pregnancy earlier this year. The “Take It Off” producer now shares that he will postpone one of the most anticipated residencies of the summer.
Fisher’s Wednesday residency at Hï Ibiza starts June 5, but the universe had other plans for his family. Initially, the party savant had intended to make Opening Night, as Chloe’s due date was set for end of June.
After weeks of “a few minor hiccups” Fisher will now be staying closer to home, as recommended by their doctor. To take his place, he has selected Patrick Topping as the residency’s leader until June 26. The UK DJ will present his label Trick, while Vintage Culture will keep his spot as the Club Room’s headliner on Wednesdays, remaining unaffected by the announcement.
Fisher’s residency will bring world-renowned talent to join him, with guests including Fatboy Slim, Chris Lake, Cloonee, and Skream. The Opening Party for Fisher’s Hï Ibiza residency will now take place on July 3. He will extend the season to make up for lost time, with the strong of shows now officially running until October 2.
Fisher hopes that fans will understand the delay, as it now honors his commitment to his wife, their unborn baby, and his booking at Hï Ibiza. White Isle continues to be one of the world’s hottest destinations for dance music, and Hï Ibiza will host other summer residencies from DJs like Eric Prydz on Mondays and Tale of Us on Thursdays.
