Does Carl Cox have a wife?

Oh yes, Oh Yes? Exron Music has deeply dived into Carl Cox’s love life to discover if he has a wife.

“Oh yes, oh yes” is synonymous with Carl Cox and the beginning of a sure-to-be electric set start to finish. The 61-year-old English-born music guru has been in the game since the early age of 15 when he bought his first pair of turntables. He came of age during the era of Chicago house music in the 80s and his talent and inspiration have spawned since then. However, music fans are curious to know, does Carl Cox have a wife?

The answer to that question is yes, and no. Carl Cox did have a wife, Rachel Turner. They were married in 1993 and lasted for a few years before the two split. Cox notes that it was not an easy split for him in a 2022 interview with the Sydney Morning Herald.

Cox said in that interview, “I got married in 1993 to Rachel Turner. She was 22 and I was 32. We were married for three years, but she felt I was wrong for her and I felt the same. It was difficult to split because when I went to the altar I meant marriage for life. It was horrible to go through that.” Before his marriage, in 1991, Cox had his first hit single “I Want You” released on Paul Oakenfold’s label, Perfecto.

As his sound morphed and he grew as an artist, he evolved into one of the biggest names in Techno in the 90s until today over 30 years later. Cox had a decade-and-a-half-long residency in Ibiza, granting him the nickname “King of Ibiza,” during this time he launched and rebranded his label Intect Records. Carl Cox is also a mainstay legend at Ultra Miami despite taking this year off.

As of 2022, Carl was in a new relationship with Gemma. It is unknown if they are still together as he has kept most of his relationship and personal life private throughout the years, except for a few interviews over his tenure. In his interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, he states that they had been together for a year at the time of the interview, he also says, “I haven’t mentioned it on social media because that can be a relationship killer. But I’m nearly 60 and want to find love and stability in my life.”

He also says explicitly, that he is not a player, and that having seen the love and admiration that his parents had for each other taught him what he is looking for in a relationship. Carl Cox does not have a current wife but was with Gemma in 2022 and Rachel Turner from 1993-1996. However, Carl Cox does look to have a ton of love in his life, with his career, his fans, his supporters, and being an inspiration for artists globally.
