A video had shown Hodgson having an altercation with another attendee and being sent to the medical tent. A witness in the tent confirmed that he could not remember his name. From there, he said that he woke up in a hospital and was administered a saline drip before being discharged.

The hospital gave him a bus pass, but Hodgson was alone without a phone or wallet in an unfamiliar location. He traveled to several locations seeking help from police officers but was told they could not help him. His loved ones had filed a Missing Persons report before Hodgson contacted officials.
