Bassnectar teases new project ‘A Strange World’ on subscriber-only platform

Bassnectar is releasing new music for the first time in years and one of his latest is “A Strange World.”

Bassnectar announced a new track “A Strange World” available only to paid subscribers on his Unlock the Other Side website on May 16 and will be coming soon to the public. He has not given an exact release date.

The bass artist has been consistently releasing music in 2024 from a combination of a few new tracks, mixtapes, and remixes. Bassnectar also announced just a few days after “A Strange World” that he would be releasing another new track “Deep In The Jungle.” This track is also only currently available to paid subscribers.

Other tracks Bassnectar introduced this year include “O.M.G” and “Metamorphosis” – which are also still locked to the public. While still under the radar, Bassnectar has been streaming live for shows on his website. He has tried to plan shows but many have been unsuccessful so far like his show planned in Atlanta. But he did play in Las Vegas for the first time in 3 years at Mandalay Bay and for New Year’s in New York City.

Bassnectar rescheduled the canceled Atlanta show in Las Vegas but ended up canceling it after and people have cited the reason as health issues. The show in Atlanta was canceled after the stadium looked into his sexual misconduct allegations. Bassnectar also had a 2-day Halloween show scheduled in 2023 that was canceled due to complaints.

There has been a consistent backlash towards Bassnectar since the allegations became widely known, but he still continues to try and keep his music career alive. Bassnectar has made it clear he will not let cancel culture get him down.

In a recent interview on Bassnectar’s website, he spoke with a production company he works with, VVVYD, about how they believe cancel culture is dangerous. Bassnectar has been affected by cancel culture since 2020.

I remember hearing Edm for the first time and thinking I knew this type of music would change my life. I love all genres and the art that goes behind it all. You can catch me dancing to a wide range of tunes.
