Hard techno titans Deborah de Luca and Klangkuenstler prank fans by announcing they married in Vegas over the weekend.

Nothing cures the Monday dread better than shell-shocking news in the music industry. Namely, Deborah de Luca and Klangkuenstler announced their spontaneous marriage ceremony in Vegas this weekend, writing “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. 💍😂”. To all the confused onlookers, apparently April Fool’s Day came a bit late this year!

The impromptu Sin City wedding has left fans and industry insiders alike stunned, with many expressing equal parts surprise and delight. Major DJs like Oliver Heldens and Nico Moreno chimed in with shock, both over the marriage and over the techno couple wearing white outfits. As it turns out, the confused commenters were onto something – it was in fact a joke!

Napoli-born Deborah de Luca has carved a fierce path with her distinct blend of hard techno and minimal undertones. Her meteoric rise to fame began in 2010 with performances in clubs across Europe.  With countless successful releases and performances at major festivals such as Sonus, Creamfields, and Time Warp, she has become unstoppable.

Similarly, the German-bred Klangkuenstler has built a reputation preceding him for booming soul-snatching techno. His energetic and hard-hitting sets have garnered an immense following across Europe, and are slowly infiltrating the American scene. Undoubtedly, Klangkuenstler’s ability to keep a crowd dancing their hearts out for hours on end has made him a sought-after act.

Having grown up just an earshot from Ultra Miami's venue Bayfront Park, it was next to impossible for me not to fall in love with electronic music. My love for music was evidently strong enough for me to write my college essay on festival culture and continue attending Ultra for 10+ years now. I have always had a knack for writing and the power of words, which I continued cultivating through a Philosophy degree in college. Now, I am finishing up law school and hope to merge my passions by working in the music industry. I am an avid traveler and am certainly not afraid to hop on a plane for a music event. My next bucket list items to attend are Tomorrowland in Belgium and ADE in the Netherlands. Though the list could go on forever, some of my favorite artists include Franky Wah, Kevin de Vries, Eli Brown, and John Summit.
